Chet Marino has always marveled at people's potential and their ability to excel when they're placed in the right environment. For more than twenty years, he has helped companies achieve their business goals through the proper selection of people—finding that exceptional fit between company and candidate.
Chet founded Verus Partners in 2005 to focus on growing middle market companies, primarily in the technology, industrials and energy industries throughout North America. Chet serves as a knowledgeable advisor to clients throughout the search process matching company need, industry experience and cultural fit in all the functional disciplines with candidates from director through C-level executives.
By personally coordinating the entire search process, including fact finding, final placement and follow up, Chet quickly develops a keen understanding of key challenges facing client companies and the expectations of a successful candidate. His combination of tenacity, resourcefulness, and dedication, results in highly effective hiring solutions.
Currently, Chet is on the board of the Association for Corporate Growth (ACG), Denver chapter, which serves professionals involved in corporate growth, development, and mergers and acquisitions. He was named ACG Denver Member of the Year in 2009 for his management of programs. He is also a member of the National Association of Corporate Directors (NACD) and until recently served on the board of DenverWorks, a nonprofit organization that aids people with barriers to employment. Chet holds a Bachelor of Science degree in management science from Nazareth College and a Master of Business Administration in marketing from Regis University.
Originally from upstate New York, Chet and his wife now live near Denver. They have two children and enjoy music, the arts, biking, and travel.
